It's all just one big fuck up really. People spend the majority of it looking for somebody else.<br />
Like, what if you never do find that person who's supposed to make you happy? Do you die miserable?<br />
Is anyone ever really always happy? Sure, I've been happy. But it never seems to last.<br />
Happiness, building you up just to shatter it all down again when you won't see it coming since the beginning of time.<br />
So what's the answer to avoid being shattered? Not letting anything external to your own body/mind.<br />
That'll never work. You'll die alone like that.<br />
But maybe it is better to die alone rather than just get hurt, over and over again.<br />

Something to note if you're logging in using the computing labs' (and I assume other buildings') computers: all of the machines in DCU are in a state of deep freeze, this means that anything that you do will be competely "forgotten" when the machine is turned off. This means that all the software on the machines will not change, so any changes to settings will not be saved.<br />

When PuTTy was installed, our own version with the "RedBrick!" button was not used, instead you'll have to type<br />
login.redbrick.dcu.ie<br />
into the "Host Name (or IP address)" bar in PuTTY and click on Open. You may then be asked about changed RSA keys, to which you should click "Yes" and then you can log in.<br />

Also, the character encoding is wrong; it should be UTF-8. To change this go to Window -> Translation -> Received data assumed to be in which character set: and choose UTF-8<br />

It was necessary for me to have a character name in Diablo so I chose Nitsuj Buaya Chen, the latter two meaning 'Crocadile man that snaps up ladies' (in Singapore slang) and monkey (as my star sign is golden monkey). I later joined a CS clan called Black Legion and people naturally shortened my name down to nit. At that time I also had a friend who was called 'kippy' in real life and online, so I started using nit in real life too. Later I joined a 'talker' called theManor which was a twin site to the LambdaMoo, there was a guy there who set it all up and went by the nick 'beN', he and girlfriend sadly died in a car accident and so manor spods paid tribute but capitalising the final letter of their nick, hence why I use niT.<br />
