Jon met with one of the guys from buildings and he says that we shouldn't put machines in the room in the X building. Instead he's going to try and get us a room in the Henry Grattan building. Macbain suggested that Committee should not have any say on who has root access to the redbrick systems, especially login machines. As admins are responsible for the security of the system, the admins are the only ones who can authorise root access. Open Internet Workshop
