Haiku (Hi-Coo), form of 3-line Japanese poem with 5 syllables in the 1st line, 7 syllables in the second line and 5 syllable in the 3rd line. Traditionally used to encapsulate a single image or thought in a compact format. On Redbrick it is generally used to convey a slander or an insult. Whole threads consisting solely of Haiku's have been known to develop and are by no means confined to the Arts or Babble groups.

By far the most used Poetic expression form On Redbrick Newsgroups.
