RedBrick Committee Meeting Minutes Wednesday 23/03/2005

Matters Arising

There were no matters arising from the minutes of the previous meeting.

Debate Soc Meeting

Tina met with Debate Soc, nothing major confirmed as there was no further update from Donal Fitzpatrick. Dec (skyhawk@rb) has mailed him again requesting more information.

Debate Soc are holding another debate at the moment, which they have requested RedBrick's help in advertising in return for a mention on the posters. Debate to be announced on the boards and through the MOTD. Charlene was approached regarding a recording of this debate, this is to be confirmed with HEAnet.

Table Quiz

Committee members available to source spot prizes to meet in town on Wednesday the 30th around 2pm and approach shops to sponsor spot prizes.

iPod shuffles are confirmed to be the 1st prize, Tina to make posters announcing this, and look into getting a large poster to put in Glass Area/Henry Grattan.

Awards

The pre-decided categories have been mailed to committee. Yossarian's script for adding award categories to be modified and used for the user -decided category. Users to be given a week to vote on this category. This will all need to be done by Tue 29 March.

Awards to take place on the 12th April, categories to be decided on a week beforehand, and a script put in place to take user votes by Tuesday 5th April.

Tina is waiting to hear back with quotes for Trophies, if these prove too expensive, then she will look into getting certificates printed up.

AOB

Tests are to be written in time for the AGM, which takes place on the 12 April. Committee to mail blurb about their position to Eoghan for the prospectus.
