IBMS390

In 2001, IBM donated an S/390 mainframe to the School of Computing, DCU (worth approximately 1-2 million Irish pounds; a later upgrade to the machine doubled this value). Out of 5 projects proposed to run on this system by the school, Redbrick proposed 2 (members involved: pixies, x, doc, redgiant, kpodesta).
The projects saw some initial work, but were never completed, due to a combination of factors (lack of time by redbrick members, problems with the system, and an eventual phase out of the system itself at the School of Computing).
