Minutes for RedBrick committee meeting 28/04/2003

Present: Nikki Kenny, Trevor Johnston, Shane Tallon, David Johnston, Cillian Sharkey, Dermot Duffy, Elaine Bannon, Eoin Campbell, Declan McMullen, Grainne Sheerin, Tina Frain, Aisling Devlin, Martin Clarke, Colm MacCarthaigh, Sun Ning

Not Present: Declan O'Neill, Una Kehoe, Mark Dunne

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and ratified.

Purchase of Dell Poweredge 2650

• We need to order before Tuesday or else the quote will expire.
• It is fine to store it in CSD.
• Grainne says all is OK to buy it, we have the money.
• So we're buying it. Tomorrow!

RedBrick Room

• Full quotes had been obtained.
• We're going to get everything that was quoted for.
• Elaine asked about insurance, Colm assures us everything will

be insured under the SPC policy.

Purchase of Dell Rack

Colm to get quotes for Dell rack(s).

Purchase of IDE disks for RedBrick radio and telstar

• We will look for an allocation for these (2 IDE disks for enigma,

1 SCSI disk for telstar).

• These to be ordered almost immediately (special offer on right

now)

Purchase of SSL Cert

Nothing really decided, but Grainne to do some enquiring.

Trip to Paris and/or Galway

• Money for Galway promised (1500 euro...or thereabouts).
• We haven't yet thought of a valid reason for going to Paris.
• Elaine said we why not go ahead with the Paris trip anyway, since

it's only 150 euro per person. August Bank Holiday a possibility.

• This to be put on redbrick-discuss to see which trip (or neither,

or both or whatever) people would prefer.
