RedBrick Committee Meeting Minutes 14-11-2005

Present: Michelle, Jes, Dave, Charlie, Una, Eoghan, Dara, Stephen(Igy) Excused: Ken, Simon, Stephen(Ryaner) Absent: Karl(second warning)

IRC Policies

Eoghan brought up the need for written IRC policy especially in regard to irc bots. Eoghan is to draw up a policy and email it to the list. A vote was taken on whether to allow mincebot back into #lobby or not. The vote went in favour of allowing mincebot to stay.

Open Day

Available for open day: Eoghan, jes, dave, Una, charlie and Michelle.

Sponsorship and Donations

We're to recieve sponsorship from KPMG. We don't know for certain yet what we'll be getting.

None of the companies Dara has contacted have responded to him yet.

We're going to ask associates for donations and also reapply to the SPC

Speakers for Tech Week

Jes will e-mail humanities school for speakers, Una will e-mail computer applications, Eoghan is to e-mail nursing and Dara is going to talk to someone in google.

Ice Skating

We decided to hold the ice skating on the wednesday after the socs ball. People are to meet in the hub at 3:30 and we'll go from there

Newsletter

The newsletter is to go out as soon as possible. Helpdesk and Events are to e-mail dave stuff for it.

Overview of the year so far

Our events are better this year than last year. Our workshops are bad. Most of them haven't materialised.

Website

Helpdesk haven't sent info for the website to Una and ents needs to confirm dates for the site too.

Any other Business

Agenda - the agenda needs to be sent out on sunday so the whole committee knows whats on the agenda for monday so they can add stuff.
