Minutes of Meeting, 07th October 2002.

Present:

       Andrew, Nikki, Carla, David, Eoin, Shane, Mark C, Declan,
       Cillian, Dermot

Absent (with reasons):

       Mark D


0.1 C&S Day

       - Plans for C&S day were discussed
       - The tables and the number needed was talked of. The
       gophers list was suggested as a potential source of
       helpers on the day.
       - As well, the number of t-shirts left is needed counting.
       The gophers will probably want some for the day too.
       - The magreaders are working fine according to Cillian.
       He needs a cheque for their purchase.
       - There was an idea to use the blue backing boards from
       last year. This will be looked into.
       - The second banner still needs picking up from the buildings
       office. Amazing but true.

0.2 The Room

       - There has been some pestering from SPC/SU about removing
       RB from the C&S offices.
       - CSD have offered to take our racks when we have no more
       use for them.
       - The disposing of our unwanted material was discussed. A skip
       is the likely, if only solution. We need special arrangements
       to dispose of the batteries.
       - If subsequent quotes are requested from the contractors, it's
       suspected that the quote might go up, ie, the revised quotes for
       the air con, moving the door, knocking the wall etc.
       - The air-con; where is it going? Roof or wall?
       Does it need to go through the second room etc?


0.3 WebBrick

       - It should be ready and up and running soon. Should require
       stress testing first of all though.
       - The new site design/set-up was discussed.

0.4 Grant Form / Finances

       - DO we have any new assets since last year? Is there any
       insurance needed for anything? Apparently the SPC owns
       everything.
       - A new cheque book needs ordering.


0.5 Helpdesk

       - We need to publish the dates of the first tutorial. The
       room for the year needs to be booked - probably the CA building
       again.

0.6 Ents

       - The event is to be a free event on the 16th October.
       - Update on the Paddy Casey situation should come soon -
       we're not sure if he can play.
       - The tickets can be handed out in the canteen (though can
       this be done), and/or the Hub


0.7 AOB

       - Minutes: Make the minutes available on the web?


       - Moderating cmte board?
