Description
Enigma became the new primary login server on the 11th October 1999 when it replaced the ailing machine Mother. Since then, it has gone through many incarnations (read: disks) since it was initially put together. Changeover to a proper hardware RAID array solution was finally completed in September 2002. It then existed as our backup server.
Enigma (or "disk-destroying monster" as it was known during it's golden years) died a horribly slow painful death in the first half of 2007. It was pronounced dead on the 13th April of that year, and dumped in October.
