Description
Enigma became the new primary login server on the 11th October 1999 when it replaced the ailing machine Mother. Since then, it has gone through many incarnations (read: disks) since it was initially put together. Changeover to a proper hardware RAID array solution was finally completed in September 2002. It now exists as our backup server and various other small tasks.
Enigma died a horribly slow painful death in the first half of 2007. It was pronounced dead on the 13th April of that year. We're debating on whether it should be cremated or buried.
