Present

  • Justin
  • Jonathan
  • Caroline
  • Brian
  • Cecily

Apologies

  • John Looney
  • John Bolger
  • Aoife
  • Sarvesh
  • Barry

Admins

  • John Looney gave a warning on news groups about off topic postings. There should be no disuserment.
  • New policy decided upon
"Off topic postings will be deleted, persistent posters will be
        disusered".
  • John Bolger is apparently not happy with having David Murphy on the admins mailing list.
  • New policy decided upon
"an ex-sys-admin is welcome to help the society in anyway they can by
performing systems administration tasks, provided that :
       a) They have not previously been removed from office
       b) The current administrators approve, on a case by case basis".
  • Admin training will be happening soon.
  • Internet Relay Chat server is now up, all committee members should be made operators.

Finances

  • Sarvesh owed DCUNS 20 pounds, 4 pounds is the balance. Justin owes DCUNS 24 pounds.
  • There is 300 pounds in the bank.
  • Ents-wise - an Intersocs event is a good idea
  • Trip away - Wales(?) - SPC will give £7.50 per person per night 2nd week in april?
  • RAG WEEK - SU will pay for all events etc we organise. Cecily couldn't get in contact with Dave Flynn (even tried on the phone during the meeting :) ). Benefactors will probably be Crumlin Childrens Hospital.
  • Welcome back party ->
    • Isolde's Tower
    • Bacchus
    • The Fleet
  • Jonathan wants to borrow some of the 486's until a use can be found for them, there were no objections.

AOB

  • Colin Whittaker made his committee and admin mail publically readable, this led to people being able to grab passwords from the mail and use other people's accounts. A posting should be made about it, rather than disusering Colin.
  • AGM - 1st week in April
  • EGM - Week after Rag Week.
    • Admins should organise the exam.
